Well, the landfill deal has been voted on by all three government entities seeking to control the landfill and hauling operation.  Listen in to see what my happen now!

Sheriff Montgomery is seeking re-election.  That would make a 4th. term for him.  The item links below are links to files from a State Police Criminal Investigation Division investigation that Twin Lakes Observer obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request regarding the suicide of Scott Ellis on June 1, 2008.  Listen in and see how the documents tie Montgomery to events that "allowed" a suicide death to occur in the Baxter County Detention Center.

Below, are documents that point out the lax attitude to the safety and welfare of inmates at the Baxter County Detention Center.  When viewing the documents, be sure to read the parts that are outlined in RED.

You can read the Fact Sheet HERE, and view the other files below.

Program Notes:

Recently, there have been many questions about why the Baxter Bulletin deleted the complete article about the Franciscan Monks AND all of the comments that went with it.

That's a great question!  Do cops have the right to run radar on private property?  What is an easement and do they have the right to run radar from that easement?  Recently in the Baxter Bulletin, there was much said about this issue with regards to the Mtn. Home P.D. using Street Dept. records on traffic counts to enforce speed laws.  To listen in to the program, just click the "play button" on the player above.  No downloading necessary!

In this weeks radio program:

  • We discuss the issues of the (purchase?) of the NABORS trash removal and hauling operation.
  • Then, Mayor Osmon's red herring for a new water supply.
  • And last but not least, the cops are now counting traffic to find speeders! Yep, you read it right.

Here is the LINK to the BB article that reports on the $12 million dollar in "Bond" debt. Give the link some time to load as their server is quite slow!

Being prepared counts. At least that's why my folks taught me. Of course, the county and city officials were not raised by my parents, so they were not prepared for the recent few inches of snow.
