Sheriff Montgomery is seeking re-election. That would make a 4th. term for him. The item links below are links to files from a State Police Criminal Investigation Division investigation that Twin Lakes Observer obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request regarding the suicide of Scott Ellis on June 1, 2008. Listen in and see how the documents tie Montgomery to events that "allowed" a suicide death to occur in the Baxter County Detention Center.

Recently, there have been many questions about why the Baxter Bulletin deleted the complete article about the Franciscan Monks AND all of the comments that went with it.
Secondly, we have an important followup on the acquisition of the NABORS landfill and hauling operation by Baxter County, Marion County and the town of Mountain Home.
That's a great question! Do cops have the right to run radar on private property? What is an easement and do they have the right to run radar from that easement? Recently in the Baxter Bulletin, there was much said about this issue with regards to the Mtn. Home P.D. using Street Dept. records on traffic counts to enforce speed laws.
